My name's William Marchant...Billy. Crap for the Crapper is a side project of mine; something I work on in whatever spare time I get as an illustrator & graphic designer. You can find out a whole lot more about me by visiting www.LooksGreat.biz
I also wanted to take a second to explain the concept of Crap for the Crapper, or CftC. I thought of this crap back in high school and then thought about it even more through college. Then, just this past year, I finally began fine-tuning my concept and putting ink down on paper.
CftC is an umbrella that covers several mini-comic series and short fiction stories; the first being "The WG." Other comics and short stories to come are "Secret Agent Man," "Hammer'd," "The Ghetto Cats of East Hoard City," "Shakedown St.," and a few more. I chose to group each series under CftC because it made sense. Since, I had so many different characters to portray and storylines to tell, I figured why try to put out a bunch of different mini-comics under different names, hoping each would catch on in their own time. Instead, shan't I put out one name and have a better chance of that catching on.
By calling my crap Crap...I am not actually calling my crap "crap." It is rather my attempt to not take my work too seriously. When you start taking your work too seriously you start getting boring...and my life is already boring enough. Plus, I'm a realist...I realize that my work will mostly be read/looked at by people while they are making mud...that's when I do most of my reading/looking at stuff.
Anyway, thanks for staying with me through this explanation and I hope you enjoy my shit...oops, I mean Crap.
CONTRIBUTORS
Tim Rowe - Author "Hammer'd" Parts 1 thru 3
I met Tim (better known as Birdman) back in college. When I approached him with the idea of CftC, Birdman was very quick with his enthusiasm about contributing as much as he could. His first contribution, the story for "Hammer'd" Parts 1-3 (Part 1 now underway), has sparked new life into Crap. This tale of utter belligerence and sloppy-drunkeness is definitely a story that needs to be told.
Birdman's humor, storytelling, and original perception of the world make him an asset to CftC and I truly look forward to reading/illustrating more crap that he writes!
Jason Neri - Idea Man behind "The Ghetto Cats of East Hoard City (or Something Like That)"
If John Belushi and Merle Haggard had a lovechild it would be Jason Neri. That said, Neri was an obvious choice to invite as a contributor. Also meeting the concept of Crap for the Crapper with much enthusiasm, Neri immediately threw me the idea of "Ghetto Cats." We haven't even scratched the surface with this idea, but I can't wait to get drunk with him and run wild with the idea.
You will be shocked by Neri's blatant disregard for decency and all things sane, which I am positive will show in his comedic writing.
